Google and Amazon prohibit employees from traveling due to the Covid-19 translation


A Google employee in Switzerland was positive for corona virus.
According to Business Insider, Google has issued a warning to employees when traveling in Italy, Iran, Japan and South Korea because of the spread of corona virus.

An Amazon spokesman confirmed to The Verge, the company is asking employees to postpone all unnecessary travel, including travel within the United States.

Both tech giants forbid employees from traveling to China. In particular, Google closed its office in China in late January.
A Google representative confirmed that a Swiss employee was positive for the corona virus. "They were in Zurich office for a short time, before showing any symptoms," a Google spokesman said.
Meanwhile, Dave Clark, Amazon's senior vice president, wrote in an email that employees should not travel at least until the end of April.
According to Gizmodo, to limit the spread of the virus, Amazon canceled direct interviews for candidates. The interviews will be conducted via video calls.

Currently, there are more than 83,000 confirmed positive cases of corona virus and nearly 3,000 deaths worldwide. China is the number one virus infected person. Other countries such as Korea, Japan ... also recorded many new cases.

The corona virus seriously affects the industry. The firms have closed many offices, delaying production in China. The global mobile show MWC was canceled after a series of companies like Amazon, ZTE and Sony announced their withdrawal. Facebook also canceled the F8 developer conference also because of the corona virus.
